Besseberg verdict (three years in prison), Bach prank II

Today a very short newsletter with two topics that you should not miss:

1) Lars Jørgensen reports on the verdict in the Anders Besseberg Olympic criminal case.

Besseberg, long-standing president of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) was sentenced today to three years and one month in prison for serious corruption. Besseberg has announced an appeal.

Prosecutor Marianne Djupesland stated:

"The verdict is an important signal that corruption is uncovered and prosecuted, also in the international sports federations. International top-level sports generate large revenues and handle large assets. We do hope that this verdict will have preventive effects."

Nordic Noir (5): former IBU president Besseberg sentenced to prison on corruption charges
A court in Norway has found the former IBU president Anders Besseberg guilty in 9 out of 11 charges of corruption. He was sentenced to three years and one month in prison. The 78-year-old Norwegian is appealing the sentence.

We will add the written judgement later on and supplement the report.

2) We have also published the second part of the prank video of IOC president Thomas Bach on our website.

You should definitely watch this video. It doesn't take much to take the piss out of the all-powerful IOC ruler Bach and Margaritis Schinas , Vice-President of the EU Commission – it's frightening:

Indiscreet and unprofessional: the IOC Sun King in a prank conversation with an alleged African politician
Thomas Bach fell for pranksters. Of course, this has also happened to high-ranking politicians in recent years. However, it surprises how arrogantly amateurish the IOC Sun King acts. What do his many princely-paid directors actually do for a living if they advise Bach incredibly badly?

A Russian prankster paints his face black-brown and pretends to be a high-ranking African politician … all this is enough to negotiate several times with the IOC president on highly sensitive issues. In the background in the African politician's office, things that could easily expose him, next to him a skeleton, on the table, of course, vodka.

In the second part of the prank video, the IOC Sun King also reveals delicate details and talks his head off.

Unbelievable.

More and more high-ranking representatives of the Olympic Movement are questioning whether Thomas Bach is still suitable for this office.
